Mounting Hardware

Types of Mounting Hardware and Accessories for Door Handles

Strongar Hardware sticks to the details. Our mounting hardware is designed for accurate installation and long-term performance, suitable for most door systems. You'll find stainless steel screws, concealed surface mounting kits, rivet nuts (rivnuts), decorative and countersunk thru-bolts, metal gaskets (washers), and plastic bushings - all made to support neat door hardware installation on wood, glass, and metal doors.

Each component is made to precise specs and designed to work with Strongar Hardware pull handles. Stainless steel elements withstand frequent use. Plastic bushings and metal washers keep door surfaces safe and cut down on friction - especially important for high-use commercial doors.

Back-to-Back and One-Sided Mounting Options

Different doors require different hardware, so our selection includes both back-to-back and One-Sided installations without compromising security or style.

A Back-to-Back installation is a mounting method where two door pull handles are installed directly opposite each other on either side of a door. This setup is popular for commercial glass entries and high-end residential doors because it creates a seamless look with no visible screws on the exterior of the handles.

A One-Sided installation is used when a pull handle is required on only one side of the door. This is common for closet doors, pantry doors, or "exit-only" commercial doors where the other side must remain flush.

Three installation methodologies  are available when implementing the one-sided:

  • Concealed Surface Mounts

  • Decorative Thru-Bolt End Caps

  • Countersunk Thru-Bolt Washers

A Concealed Surface Mount is a high-end installation method that allows a handle to be securely attached to one side of a door with no visible screws on either the handle itself or the back of the door.

A Decorative Thru-Bolt End Cap is a finishing component used for single-sided door pull installations. The stylish matching finish and shape Cap is installed  on the opposite side of the door, allowing you to use the strength of a thru-bolt without leaving a screw head exposed.

Depending on the style of your handle, we offer different shapes of End Caps, like square, round, or rectangular and also all the matching finishes so you can coordinate the full look of your handle.

A Countersunk Thru-Bolt Washer (often called a "finishing washer" or "cup washer") is used in single-sided door pull installations to provide a clean, professional look on the back of the door.

While a Decorative Cap covers the bolt entirely, a countersunk washer is designed to let the hex-bolt head sit flush within the washer itself.

Choosing the Right Mounting Hardware

Selecting the appropriate hardware depends on your door's material, thickness, and preferred installation method. We offer mounting solutions compatible with door thicknesses ranging from ¼” to 4-¾”. Regardless of your project's scale, we provide the precise components necessary to ensure a professional and secure fit.

We recognize that bustling project environments often lead to the misplacement or loss of essential hardware components. To ensure your project remains on track and reaches a timely completion, we provide a comprehensive inventory of all parts and accessories as replacements.

Our replacement parts inventory includes items such as Metal Gaskets, Metal or Plastic Washers, Brass Collars, Plastic Bushings, Conversion Kits and all our mounting screws.
